Woman Robbed At Gunpoint Near Harlem Park, Police Say

A woman was sitting on a bench outside St. Nicholas Park when three men approached her and threatened her with a gun.

HARLEM, NY — A woman was robbed at gunpoint while sitting on a bench outside Harlem's St. Nicholas Park, police said.

The 24-year-old victim was sitting on a park bench near West 128 Street and St. Nicholas Terrace on the night of Sunday, Jan. 5, when she was approached by three unknown men, police said. Two men acted as lookouts while the third drew a gun and placed it to the woman's ribs.

Robbers demanded the woman's property, stole her cellphone and purse and then fled the scene, police said. The victim was not physically harmed during the robbery, an NYPD spokesperson said.
