2 All-State Selections Highlight Varsity Awards

Volleyball captain Jessica Segal and field hockey standout Michelle Loguidice were named all-state athletes for their efforts on the field this fall.

Loguidice led the way this season for Harrison's budding field hockey team, which has emerged as a league title contender over the last couple of years. Segal helped guide the Husky volleyball team to its second consecutive Section I championship in 2011. Segal was also named conference player of the year.

Other notable award-winners include head volleyball coach Candy Light, who was named coach of the year. Football quarterback Vinnie Nicita Jr. was selected to the all-section team along with girls soccer goalie Jackie Fonseca and Loguidice. Volleyball players Elisa Santelia, Lily Stokoe and Segal were also named all-section.
