While the Miami/Westchester route is new to the airline's schedule, it isn't the first time American has operated service between the two cities. The airline flew the MIA/HPN route from December 2016 to August 2017 before dropping the flights.

JetBlue currently offers weekend service between the resort town and the regional airport in Harrison.
