Football and Field Hockey Celebrate Unbeaten Starts

The Harrison High School varsity and junior varsity fall athletic teams are reaching the midpoint in their seasons and we are excited that our varsity girls field hockey and varsity football teams are sporting undefeated records.

Under Coach Gonzalez, the girls field hockey team with a record of 8-0-3, has been a dominate force in Section I this year with impressive wins over Pearl River and Fox Lane High Schools. The Huskiesare currently the second ranked team in their league. In what shows impressive depth in this sport, the junior varsity team is also having an outstanding season, amassing an impressive 8-1-1 record.

Both the varsity and junior varsity soccer teams are surging with momentum. The varsity boys soccer team (5-5-1) has been undefeated in their last six outings with victories over Rye, Nyack and Fox Lane and the junior varsity team was also undefeated this week and is currently 6-4 for the season.

The Harrison Husky football team, currently the number one ranked team in the Class A division, posted another superb win over Pearl River 42-7.

The undefeated Huskies (5-0) are at home again this Friday night against Horace Greeley under the lights, before finishing the regular season at Rye on Saturday, Oct. 20 at 1:30 p.m.
