HHS Band Gears Up For Another Year

The Harrison High School band is tuning up for a spectacular year.

After an intensive “band camp” week in August, the 110-member band is looking forward to an action packed marching season that will include halftime performances at the Harrison High School football games and local and regional parades.

The band will also have the honor in December of representing the State of New York in the Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade in Hawaii.

Under the direction of Dr. Fred Pasqua and co-director Charlie Briem, as well as drum majors Serena Takada, Emma Camillone and Julia Ng and field commanders David Polakoff, Timothy Alfieri, ElizabethCrozier and Brett Moretzky, the award winning band has been perfecting a toe-tapping halftime show that will be a perfect complement to the action on the field.

With popular songs from Maroon 5, LMFAO and Lady Gaga, students are learning the intricacies of stadium performance.

The band will be in action as the Harrison Husky football team takes on the Tigers from White Plains at McGillicuddy Stadium at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday in the first game of the season.
