Bridge Painting Means 6 Weeks Of Lane Closures In Westchester
Lane reductions are scheduled along I-684 and State Route 120 in Westchester County, according to the NYS Department of Transportation.

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — Just as the bloom of spring flowers mark the arrival of warmer weather, the sudden appearance of orange barrels marks the start of roadwork season.
The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) announced that lane reductions are scheduled along I-684 and State Route 120 in Westchester County, and along I-84 in Dutchess County, for bridge painting.
The following closures will take place through April 30, weather permitting:

- Two lanes will close in each direction along I-684 between Exit 1 (I-287) in Harrison and Exit 3 (State Route 22) in North Castle, between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m., Sunday nights through Friday nights.
- Between Exit 1 (I-287) in Harrison and Exit 3 (State Route 22) in North Castle, one lane will close northbound from 7 a.m. and 3 p.m., one lane will close southbound from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays, and one lane will close in each direction on Saturdays between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m.
- One lane will close in each direction 24/7 along State Route 120, between American Lane and Gateway Lane, in Harrison.
- One lane will close in each direction along I-84 between Exit 44 (State Route 52) in East Fishkill and Exit 46 (U.S. Route 9) in Fishkill, between 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., Mondays through Saturdays.
The NYSDOT is reminding drivers to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in a driver's license suspension.
