HARRISON, NY — Northbound lanes on I-684 were closed at the start of the Memorial Day weekend because of a bus fire, according to the New York State Department of Transportation.

Update: As of 7:30 p.m., only the right shoulder remained blocked.

Shortly after 5 p.m., reports of a bus smoking on I-684 northbound, south of exit 2 (NY 120 Westchester County Airport), in the area of Lake Street, led to the right and center lanes to be blocked so that authorities can investigate, according to NYSDOT officials.
