Councilman Vetere to Return Friday

Councilman Pat Vetere has been rehabbing an inner-ear infection recently, he will return to town on Friday.

As rumors swirled about Pat Vetere's absence from recent Town Board functions, Supervisor Joan Walsh wanted to make it clear that the councilman is in good health and will return to Harrison Friday.

Vetere, 81, has been battling an inner-ear infection recently, and has been at a rehab facility receiving treatment. Walsh announced at Wednesday's town/village board meeting that Vetere is in good health and has been doing well at Bethel Health Care Center in Connecticut.

Vetere was absent from the last town board meeting on Aug. 25, as well as a meeting with residents to discuss flood concerns Tuesday evening. He will be back to take his position with the board when he returns to Harrison, Walsh said.
