HARRISON, NY — Your winter getaway to sunny beaches or the Magic Kingdom, just got a little easier to plan if you live in Westchester.

Delta has filed plans to add service from Westchester County Airport to both Orlando and West Palm Beach, according to a report from The Points Guy's Zach Griff.

The new daily routes are expected to begin on Nov. 10, with the seasonal routes ending on May 6, according to the frequent flyer site. Delta will fly a single 110-seat Boeing 717 for both routes. According to the report, the airline will base one of these planes at the Westchester County Airport and it will fly to Orlando in the early morning, return from Orlando to Westchester around midday and then fly roundtrip from Westchester to West Palm Beach in the evenings.

JetBlue Airways currently offers non-stop service from Westchester to both Orlando and West Palm Beach. Although Westchester County Airport has been traditionally immune to fare wars, the head-to-head competition could be good news for air travelers in the region — at least for the winter.
