POLL: Does Santa Have a Place in School?

Jingle bells, reindeer and, of course, Santa Clause himself all have a special place in our hearts this time of year. 

Although the weather outside might not yet be frightful, the Christmas season is upon us once again.

But, according to a report from News 12 , one parent in Nanuet says a teacher in a local elementary school might not be in the holiday spirit. The news station is reporting when a 7-year-old student said that the North Pole is where Santa lives during a geography lesson, the teacher spilled the beans about Santa Clause.

News 12 reports the teacher even told the student that it is parents who present gifts on Christmas morning.

The story has created some buzz in the area, so we decided to ask parents in Harrison what they think about the story. Does the story of St. Nick have a place in a public school? What should the teacher have done when placed in this situation?
