Former Student Arrested In Connection To Manhattanville Burglaries

Harrison police have charged the 24-year-old with two felonies related to the theft of items from student dorm rooms.

HARRISON, NY — A former student who was banned from campus was arrested in connection to burglaries at Manhattaville College.

On December 2, Harrison Police Department investigators arrested Bronx resident Matthew Williams, 24, for burglaries committed in the Town of Harrison on November 4.

On November 4, the Harrison Police Department was contacted by Manhattanville College Security advising that several students had reported that their dormitories were entered, and items were stolen from their rooms.

Investigators believe Williams, a former student who was "persona non grata" and previously arrested for criminal trespassing, had entered those rooms, and stole clothing and other items.

On December 2, Williams was arrested and charged with two felony counts of second degree burglary. He is being held at the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail.
