Harrison Rallies for Spring Spruce Up
Volunteers "spruced-up" several locations downtown and in West Harrison Saturday.
Wearing yellow vests and grabbing bright orange garbage bags, several of Harrison's more dedicated volunteers took to the streets Saturday morning as part of the community's first ever "Spring Spruce-Up Day".
Volunteers worked on several locations from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., sprucing up places like Veteran's Park, West Street and Silver Lake.
This is the second community improvement event held in Harrison over the last six months. Harrison resident Anja Porto organized a in Veteran's Park after the local election season in November.
