HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Westchester County Airport and Hudson Valley Regional Airport will get millions in state money to complete long-awaited capital improvement projects.

Gov. Kathy Hochul announced this week that $20.7 million would be awarded to New York airports for strategic infrastructure enhancements. The state funds were set aside for safety, environmental and capital improvements at 24 public-use airports across the state.

"Local and regional airports are the gateway to communities across New York State, attracting tourists and business from around the world," Hochul said announcing the awards. "These investments will continue to transform New York's airports into world-class facilities that will further boost economic development and growth."
