I-684 Public Lewdness Arrest After Multi-Agency Hunt For Suspect: NYSP
Troopers from Somers collaborated with the Rye Police Department and the FBI Safe Streets Task Force to capture the Orange County man.
HARRISON, NY — An Orange County man was taken into custody after some truly bizarre and disturbing behavior on the highway, according to troopers.
New York State Police say that on Tuesday, around 8:50 a.m., troopers and investigators from Somers responded to a "Be on the Lookout" alert for a vehicle of interest on I-684, in connection with an ongoing Somers Bureau of Criminal Investigation public lewdness investigation.
The troopers and investigators collaborated with the Rye Police Department and the FBI Safe Streets Task Force to locate the suspect traveling south on I-684, in the Town of Harrison.

State police say a traffic stop was initiated without incident. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was identified as 55-year-old Jose M. Reyes-Marquez, of Newburgh.
He had previously been seen engaging in lewd conduct that was visible to passing drivers on several occasions while traveling on I-684, according to police.

Reyes-Marquez was charged with two counts of misdemeanor public lewdness.
He was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Town of Bedford Court on June 11.
State police say the investigation is ongoing. They thanked the Rye Police Department and the FBI Safe Streets Task Force for their assistance.
