NYC Man Gets 7 Years After Being Caught With Illegal Gun In Harrison
The 35-year-old, who fled from a traffic stop, had a 9mm pistol loaded with seven bullets in his pant leg.

HARRISON, NY — A New York City man learned the hard way that Westchester County is best avoided if you are up to no good, even if you're just passing through.
Westchester County District Attorney Miriam Rocah announced on Friday that Jose Valle was sentenced on Thursday to seven years in prison for illegal gun possession.
"Today’s sentence is another example of my unwavering commitment to removing dangerous weapons and those who illegally possess them from our streets," Rocah said.

Valle, 35, pleaded guilty on Oct. 12, to felony criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree. In addition to his sentence, he will receive five years of post-release supervision.
Valle, who has prior felony convictions, is prohibited from legally possessing firearms.

On Dec. 28, 2022, shortly before 5 p.m., Westchester County police conducted a routine traffic stop on the Hutchinson River Parkway in Harrison. Valle attempted to flee before police arrested him and recovered a 9mm pistol loaded with seven bullets from his pant leg.
