Parsons Students Highlight $1,700 Donation

The Harrison Food Pantry accepted $1,700 in donations from students at Parson's Elementary School, youth volunteers of Harrison and the Harrison High School class of 1967.

After learning about the importance of community at Parsons Elementary School, Emily Hassett and Amanda Fameli said their class decided to give back.

The students found a erfect place to focus their efforts in the Harrison Food Pantry. Students raised $1,200 this year and presented their donation this week at town hall.

Other donations this week included $101 from the Youth Volunteers of Harrison and $400 that was raised at the Harrison High School class of 1967 reunion.

The food pantry provides food for more than 100 Harrison families in need.
