A look at some local activities that are sure to bring out the inner-child in each of us this holiday season.

With only a few short days remaining until Christmas—and New Year's Day right around the corner—there is still plenty of time to plan some holiday events to celebrate the season.

Christmas Lights on Parsons Street

Although not an official event, taking a drive down Parsons Street is a good way to brighten one's day this time of year, especially after dark. Harrison resident Roy Aletti has once again  with his home's decorations, providing a great site for any interested parties.

will have Christmas Mass on Dec. 24 at 5 p.m. and midnight. But for those interested in joining the community for extra holiday cheer, the parish is also hosting Christmas carols at 11:30 p.m.

There are also masses scheduled for 8 a.m., 10:15 a.m. and noon on Christmas Day. For a full Christmas events schedule click here.

Christmas Tree in West Harrison

Although the Christmas tree in West Harrison has been , anyone who hasn't been to Silver Lake this holiday season still has a couple more weeks to check out the tree.

The tree is near the West Harrison green and is another way to usher in that holiday spirit this week.

Westchester Broadway Theater Performance

A Sleepy Hollow Christmas Carol will continue to show at the Westchester Broadway Theater in Elmsford until Dec. 26. The show boasts a combination of two holiday favorites, where Ebezner Scrooge meets Washington Irving. 

Tickets are still available, and prices range from $62 for adults to $52 for children and students.

Holiday Crafts For Children 

Harrison's libraries are hosting several holiday-themed events for children this week. The West Harrison Library will host a holiday crafts event on Dec. 22 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
