Peregrine Falcon Rescued From Kensico Reservoir By Environmental Conservation Officer
The falcon was initially lethargic, but recovered quickly and was released back to the wild after a little rest, according to the NYSDEC.

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — One of the Hudson Valley's most majestic denizens is doing fine after a helping hand from a trained environmental officer.
On June 17, an environmental conservation officer responded to a report of an injured bird on the shore of the Kensico Reservoir in Harrison.
The officer found a distressed peregrine falcon on a rock just off the shoreline. The raptor appeared unable to fly or flee. The conservation officer didn't see any noticeable injuries, but took the bird to a local wildlife rehabilitator for an assessment, just to be certain the animal was okay. The initially lethargic falcon recovered quickly once with the rehabilitator, and was released back to the wild after a brief rest.
