Photos: Harrison Schools Get Summer Makeovers
Several buildings within the Harrison Central School Districts will have new features when students return this fall.
There was no summer vacation for maintenance crews within the Harrison Central School District as they worked to complete some major renovations during the last two months.
Harrison school officials say crews began working on projects to improve each of the district's schools as soon as kids finished classes in the spring and work will continue right up until the first day of classes this September. As a result, students will return to some changes when they walk through the school doors in a couple of short weeks.
Renovations include improvements to the library at Parsons Elementary School (a new computer and technology lab was constructed over the summer), science lab renovations at Harrison High School and LMK Middle School and improvements to dozens of classrooms.

To save on costs, almost all of the renovations have been done using staff employed by the district, explained Harrison Assistant Superintendent for Business Robert Salierno.
The attached photos show some of the major projects taken on inside the district's buildings this year.
