Police Nab Suspected Westchester Home Burglar, Seize Stolen Gun

HARRISON, NY — A spike in home invasion burglaries in the region has law enforcement working overtime to protect the local community.

The Harrison Police Department announced on Friday that they arrested a residential burglar this week.

Harrison police say they arrested Christopher M. Wheeler, 45, for a residential burglary committed on April 13 in the Winfield/Glen area of the Town of Harrison. After Wheeler's arrest, investigators say search warrants led to the recovery of stolen property from the burglary and the recovery of a stolen, loaded 9mm gun.

Wheeler is being held at the Westchester County Jail without bail, according to Harrison Police, who in a statement said that the investigation remains ongoing and additional charges are possible.
