Rockland Man Arrested For Smash-And-Grab Theft At Westchester Country Club
The 59-year-old shattered the window of an employee's car and stole a wallet, according to Harrison police.

HARRISON, NY — The culprit behind a crime at a historic institution was quickly identified and apprehended, according to police.
The Harrison Police Department says that a Rockland County man was arrested in connection to a smash-and-grab theft that took place at the Westchester Country Club.
Around 3:25 p.m., on August 13, officers responded to the country club after receiving a report that a vehicle belonging to an employee had been broken into, with a window shattered and a wallet stolen.

After investigating, police soon identified a suspect, 59-year-old Jesse Foote, of Stony Point, along with his vehicle.
Within a few hours of the initial report, Foote was found driving his vehicle on the Palisades Parkway. Officers conducted a traffic stop without incident and Foote was taken into custody.

During a search of the vehicle, officers report finding proceeds from the larceny.
Foote was charged with felony fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, felony fourth-degree grand larceny, and misdemeanor fourth-degree criminal mischief.
The Harrison Police Department commended the Detective Division and responding officers "for their quick action and effective investigation, which led to a timely arrest."
