See The Cute, Furry Rescues From Louisiana Now Adoptable At Pet Rescue

These adorable arrivals from the Gulf Coast are hoping to bring their southern charm to forever homes right here in the Hudson Valley.

HARRISON, NY — Warning: If you aren't prepared to fall in love with adorable dogs and cats saved from certain doom, then scroll no further.

Pet Rescue has announced that a life-saving rescue transport of dogs and puppies from Louisiana made its way to Harrison where the previously homeless animals have been welcomed and cared for by the volunteer staff, provided medical care, and, of course, given treats and love.

If you would like to meet these rescued lab mixes, spaniel mixes and other mixes, "Dog and Puppy Meet and Greet" events take place on Saturdays at Pet Rescue, from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

The dogs were chosen for their cheery temperaments and wagging tails, according to the rescue. The staff and volunteers promise that these dogs and others available at Pet Rescue all receive the best medical care and often some training as well.

Community members are welcome to see the dedicated volunteers work their magic as they match dogs and cats with their new families.

In addition to the Saturday hours for dog meet and greets, the cat open houses are: Thursdays, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturdays and Sundays, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
