Troopers Seize Crack, Coke, Pills And Heroin On I-684 In Westchester
NY State Police say a traffic stop led to the felony drug arrests of an Armonk man and a Chappaqua woman.

HARRISON, NY — New York State troopers said that a traffic stop on I-684 led to the discovery of a large cache of illegal drugs.
Police patrolling the freeway in the town of Harrison stopped a 2022 Jeep for traffic violations, but found something much more dangerous. Driver Sidney A. Gershenov, 34, of Armonk, was in possession of approximately 1.2 grams of crack-cocaine, according to troopers. Passenger Katherine E. Oliver, 35, of Chappaqua, had approximately 11.8 grams of cocaine, 6.8 grams of heroin, and 2.4 grams of alprazolam, authorities said.
Gershenov was arrested for felony criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree. Oliver was arrested for felony criminal possession of a controlled substance in the second degree, felony criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree and misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.

The stop was made on Dec. 22.
Both Gershenov and Oliver were arraigned before the town court of Harrison. Gershenov was released on his own recognizance. Oliver was remanded to the Westchester County Jail.
