'Wheelie Popping' Cyclist Cited After Crashing Into Car: Police
The 21-year-old was weaving through traffic with his front wheel in the air when he ran into the back of a moving car, cops said.

HARRISON, NY — A bike rider who was showing off was lucky to escape injury, but didn't avoid all the consequences of his actions, Harrison police said.
On Friday evening, a 21-year-old Harrison man was issued traffic tickets after his reckless riding of a bicycle caused a collision, police said.
While on Halstead Avenue near Oakland Avenue, the bicyclist collided with the rear of a moving vehicle, while weaving through traffic and performing a "wheelie," causing damage to the rear of the vehicle.

Moments before the collision, an off-duty, Harrison police officer called into headquarters to report the reckless bicyclist, and then remained on scene to assist with the crash investigation.
Fortunately, no one was injured, according to authorities.

"The Harrison Police remains committed to cracking down on dangerous bicyclists within Town, and any such sighting should be reported to Police Headquarters via 911, or 914-967-5111," police said.
