White Plains Man Faces Felony DWI Charge In Harrison: Police

Police said the man has two prior DWI convictions within the last 10 years, which led to the felony charge.

HARRISON, NY — A White Plains man was accused of drunken driving Sunday in the town of Harrison.

The New York State Police said, around 2 a.m. Sunday, troopers saw a vehicle illegally parked on the shoulder of Interstate 287 in Harrison.

After the driver — Jose D. Flex Orozco, 38, of White Plains — was interviewed, police found he was intoxicated.

Flex Orozco was taken into custody and processed at the Tarrytown barracks where his blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.15 percent.

Additionally, he has two prior DWI convictions within the last 10 years and is required to operate a vehicle with an ignition interlock device.

As a result, Flex Orozco was charged with driving while intoxicated and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, felonies, and operating a motor vehicle with no ignition interlock device, a misdemeanor.

He was turned over to a sober third party and given appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Harrison Court March 14.
