Back-to-School Night, Jack-O-Lantern Contest Today in Hauppauge

Good morning, Hauppauge. Here's what's happening today in our community.

- It's back-to-school night for parents at Hauppauge High School, starting at 7 p.m.

- The Hauppauge Public Library kicks off its jack-o-lantern contest for kids and teens today. From now until Oct. 31, kids and teens can enter by sending an email with your photo of your jack-o-lantern, along with your name, phone number and grade, to hplteens@suffolk.lib.ny.us.

- Check out the girls' soccer team as it takes on East Islip in a home game today at 4 p.m. The boys' volleyball team will also be in action at 5 p.m. at home against Westhampton.
