Book Fair, Employment Open House Happening Today

Good morning, Hauppauge. Here's what's happening today in and around our community:

- A book fair is planned at Bretton Woods Elementary from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.

- DDI is hiring full- and part-time counselors for its children's residential program located in nearby Smithtown. There's an open house today from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.; click here for more details.

- There's a "read to a dog" program at the Hauppauge library at 5 p.m. Wait, what? It's actually a program that helps kids practice their reading and communication skills by reading aloud to a therapy dog. Visit the library website for more information.
