March 24, 2024—Last month Huntington Hospital Board Vice Chairman and Hauppauge resident Thomas Lederer received the “Mary Ann Brown Award” for his involvement with the HH Dolan Family Health Center at its inception, more than 30 years ago. It was the final time that the annual award will be presented at the original Dolan location, because, in a few weeks, the Dolan Family Health Center will relocate to its new home on New York Avenue in Huntington Station.

“It’s such an honor to receive this award at this pivotal time in the health center’s history,” said Lederer at the award ceremony which took place in the health center on Pulaski Road in Greenlawn on February 28th. The award was named after Mary Ann Brown, the first nurse manager of the Dolan Family Health Center.

When the Dolan Center moves to its new location on New York Avenue in Huntington Station it will be known as the “Northwell Community Health Center at Huntington.” At the time the Dolan Center opened in 1995, it had received a one-million dollar naming grant from the Charles Dolan Family Foundation.
