Man Drove Off After Hitting Parked Vehicle In Hauppauge: Police

The man struck a parked vehicle with his Jeep and fled, police say.

HAUPPAUGE, NY — Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is seeking the public's help in finding the driver who, police said, fled the scene of a crash in Hauppauge last year.

A motorist struck a parked vehicle in front of 513 Route 111 with his red Jeep and drove away around 10:30 a.m. Nov. 16, police said. There was no one inside the parked vehicle, police said. The man is wanted for leaving the scene.

Police ask anyone with information to reach Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and leave an anonymous tip via phone call at 1-800-220-TIPS, using a mobile app which can be downloaded through the App Store or Google Play by searching P3 Tips, or online at www.P3Tips.com. A cash reward is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
