Man Tries To Use 3 Counterfeit $20 Bills At Islandia Walgreens: SCPD

The man was attempting to purchase a Chime upload at Walgreens, police say.

ISLANDIA, NY — Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is seeking the public's help finding the man who, police said, tried to use counterfeit money at a store in Islandia last month.

A man attempted to use three counterfeit $20 bills to purchase a Chime upload at Walgreens, at 1860 Veterans Memorial Highway, around 4:45 p.m. March 17, police said. The man is wanted for possession of a forged instrument, police said.

Police ask anyone with information to reach Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and leave an anonymous tip via phone call at 1-800-220-TIPS, using a mobile app which can be downloaded through the App Store or Google Play by searching P3 Tips, or online at www.P3Tips.com. A cash reward is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
