  1. Governor's Island is now open year round 7 days a week, per an announcement from Mayor DeBlasio yesterday. Starting on November 1st, the beloved park will be open from 7 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. Direct ferry service from Atlantic Ave/Brooklyn Bridge Park-Pier 6 and DUMBO/Fulton Ferry is also being extended.   2. Councilmember Stephen Levin appears to have been attacked by an inmate at Rikers Island, who threw an "unknown substance" at him. (Brooklyn Eagle)
  3. A development in Brooklyn Heights was number 4 on the list of the top 10 biggest outer-borough loans. The Hudson Development Companies took out $198.3 million for the whopping 38-story tallest tower in the heights, built on the former Brooklyn Heights Library. (The Real Deal)
