🌱 BK Greenbrook Tenants Rally + New Businesses In DUMBO

Here are the top three stories in Brooklyn Heights-DUMBO today:

1. Brooklyn tenants who have seen their buildings recently be purchased by the private equity firm Greenbrook Properties rallied on Saturday, calling on the state to pass "Good Cause Eviction." The company has purchased buildings in Brooklyn Heights, exponentially raising rents and often times forcing tenants to move out. (Brooklyn Paper)
2. A fire boat oyster bar, a mom-and-pop jewelry store, a new coffee shop and more. Here's a round-up of some of the new businesses opening up soon in DUMBO. (Brooklyn Bridge Parents)
3. Last Friday dozens of volunteers flocked to Brooklyn Bridge Park for an Earth Day cleanup, an event that brought out "the best in Brooklyn." The park's lawns and green spaces are managed organically, largely allowed to grow without interference so as to attract native wildlife. (Brooklyn Paper)
