  1. The Brooklyn Folk Festival is returning to St. Ann & Holy Trinity this weekend, as well as at Parish Hall. The festival will feature Brooklyn native banjo player Nora Brown. (Brooklyn Heights Blog)
  2. This article suggests that some of the funding from the recent bipartisan infrastructure bill could go towards the renovation of the portion of the Brooklyn Queens Expressway in Brooklyn Heights that's currently in disrepair. (New York Daily News)
  3. NYC started vaccinating children ages 5-11 outside of schools on Monday. But supplies ran short at P.S. 8 in Brooklyn Heights, where over 100 students lined up for only 50 shots, as distributors moved from one school to the next. Some parents were irritated that their children missed the start of the school day only to not receive a shot. A journalist asked De Blasio about P.S. 8, which reportedly requested 200 doses. Since the opening of a new protected bike path, the Brooklyn Bridge has experienced the near doubling of its bike ridership according to the Department of Transportation — and an 11% decrease in use of the nearby Manhattan Bridge.
