  1. Ben Crane, a Brooklyn Heights activist and attorney, has died at his home at 92 years old. Crane was an important champion of Brooklyn Bridge Park, and many will remember him for convincing the Port Authority to develop the green space during a 1980s community meeting. (Brooklyn Daily Eagle)
  2. In the last developments from Brooklyn Heights's 'rogue' "Exotic Smoke Shop," the store was just hit by eight city agency violations. Among them: failure to obtain the proper licenses to sell tobacco and vape products, and selling to underaged youth. The shop's hearing is set for April. (Brooklyn Daily Eagle)
  3. Red Hook Fest, the northern Brooklyn's biggest event of the year, will be back in person this year on June 3 and 4 for live music and dance performances, accompanied by a resource fair with local groups including Red Hook Mutual Aid and Red Hook Community Justice. (Brooklyn Paper)
