Here are the top three stories in Brooklyn Heights-DUMBO today:

  1. Authorities are investigating what appears to be the mysterious murder of a 63-year-old Brooklyn Heights woman and her grandson early last year. The two died three months apart, but in both cases autopsies revealed the cause of death to be acute thallium poisoning, thallium being a deadly metal. (AMNY)
  2. Tribeca Pediatrics, the successful local children's medical provider, is expanding to Red Hook in a big way - opening an architecturally complex building that will host not a doctor's office, but an events space. Tribeca Pediatrics occupies a location in DUMBO. (Brownstoner)
  3. There's a new cannabis store coming to Brooklyn Heights, called "Cannabist." The store is a new "retail experience" venture for Columbia Care, an "industry-leading cannabis dispensary" according to their website. (Benzinga)
