Here are the top three stories in Brooklyn Heights-DUMBO today:

  1. Runners will snake through DUMBO on Sunday as part of the Brooklyn Marathon and Half Marathon's new route, which will take them from Williamsburg down to Prospect Park. They will take their marks at 7 a.m., according to the official schedule. (Patch)
  2. Melissa DeRosa, an ex-aide to former Governor Andrew Cuomo, is planning to sell her $2.6 million Brooklyn Heights apartment. She's also working on a tell-all book about her time working for the governor, and her life growing up in politics, as the daughter of an Albany lobbyist. (New York Post )
  3. Enrollment will open on April 25 for Summer Rising, the Department of Education's free summer programming for k-8 students. Many schools in Brooklyn Heights, DUMBO and Downtown Brooklyn are participating in the program, which runs from July 5 to August 19. (Brooklyn Bridge Parents)
