Here are the top three stories today in Brooklyn Heights-DUMBO:

  1. Townhouse sales skyrocketed in New York last year–especially in northern Brooklyn, where there were 226 sales. That's probably because millionaire New Yorkers are seeking more space in slightly lower-density areas. (Mansion Global)
  2. A new art project asks northern Brooklyn residents to imagine what a "utopia" would look like for Gowanus, as well as neighboring nabes like Carroll Gardens and Cobble Hill (and maybe even Brooklyn Heights). The project comes right after the newly-approved Gowanus rezoning is set to radically change the area. (Brooklyn Paper)
  3. The Grand Prospect Hall, who's interior first met the wrecking ball of demolition last fall, is now going to be developed as a 5-story apartment building, with 147 units, most likely condos. (Brooklyn Paper)
