Here are the top three stories today in Brooklyn Heights-DUMBO:

  1. A group allegedly robbed the Cadman Plaza West United States Post Office towards the end of February/early March, making off with documents deemed valuable. Someone reportedly kicked a police officer on Front Street in DUMBO in early March. All that and more in the latest police blotter. (Brooklyn Paper)
  2. During a transit city council hearing, CM Lincoln Restler asked the MTA for an update on their proposals for fixing the York Street Subway station in DUMBO, and "slammed" the department for not increasing frequency on the G train. (Twitter)
  3. The 'open streets' on Vanderbilt Avenue is coming back this Spring, starting on April 1 — effective on Fridays and weekends. Some small business and restaurant owners say open streets have helped them to attract and retain customers. (Brooklyn Reader)
