  1. New York City public schools have only been open for a week and a half, and already there's thousands of COVID-19 cases reported from both students and teachers. There's so far been one classroom closure in the local area, at PS 8 Elementary School in Brooklyn Heights. I'll keep you posted on the latest numbers from the Brooklyn Heights/Dumbo area.   2. The Catholic Church just named Robert Brennan, a Bronx native, as the next Bishop of Brooklyn. This comes weeks after outgoing Bishop DiMarzio was plagued with sexual assault allegations.
