The shooting was the result of two groups fighting, police said.

DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN, NY — A gunshot fired near Downtown Brooklyn's MetroTech Center Wednesday morning created a hectic scene but injured no one, according to witnesses and police.

The single shot was fired around 11:10 a.m. at Jay and Willoughby streets during a fight between two groups of people, the NYPD said. No one has been arrested, and police did not have a description of the shooter.
