DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN, NY — A 24-year-old Queens man was found dead early Friday morning in between two F train cars, police said.

A 911 call came in around 2:30 a.m. reporting an unconscious man on the train, according to the NYPD.

Officers headed to the Jay Street-MetroTech station, where they found James A. Rubio unresponsive in between the doors leading from one car to another, police said.

Rubio had sustained head trauma, according to the police. He was taken to Brooklyn Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

An MTA official told the New York Daily News that Rubio may have been riding on the top of the train when he was struck, but the NYPD couldn't confirm that Sunday.

"R.I.P. My lil brother James Rubio," wrote Facebook user James Drucker. "Tonight I drink and write for you! You were always a great guy and super nice! Everyone loved you bro!"

"I cant describe how hurt i am right now," wrote another friend, Alexander Moose Vermillion, who referred to Rubio as "Dece."

"When you were down he would trt to lift you up," Vermillion wrote. "If it was nice out we would skate...R.I.PJames Rubio the love and respect never fades! Maybe one day we can hit up the pearly gates!"
