Here are the top three stories today in Brooklyn Heights-DUMBO:
- Permits have been filed for a new 13-story building on Concord Street between Jay Street and Bridge Plaza Court, replacing a two-story brick building that's there currently. The building will have something over 70 housing units. (New York YIMBY)
- The Gowanus Canal Conservancy's plant nursery is being temporarily displaced to a nearby lot owned by the MTA during construction of sewage overflow tanks, as part of the cleanup of the Gowanus superfund site. The city will pay for the nursery's rent for the next two years, but construction is slated to last until 2029. (Brooklyn Paper)
- The local Repast Baroque Ensemble will be performing “The Music of Drury Lane” at the First Unitarian Church in Brooklyn Heights tomorrow night, on Pierrepont Street, between Monroe Place and Clinton Street. (Brooklyn Heights Blog)
