Here are the top three stories today in Brooklyn Heights-DUMBO:

  1. The Belgian game of feather bowling is coming to DUMBO on May 5th at Randolph Beer. The game involves a group of players attempting to throw balls, similar to in regular bowling, as close as they can to a single far-off feather. Randolph's owner, Dave Plate, has been hoping to introduce the game ever since he opened his joint. (Time Out)
  2. Open Studios Saturday and Sunday is returning to DUMBO for the first time since the start of the pandemic on April 23 and 24. The event gives residents and visitors the opportunity to glimpse the art being created in our own backyard. (Brooklyn Heights Blog)
  3. In his first in-person press conference since leaving COVID isolation, Mayor Adams confirmed he is indeed considering adding metal detectors, similar to the ones you might find at Lincoln Center or a museum, to the city's Subway system. (Gothamist)
