- At a press conference in Brooklyn Bridge Park, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi joined Nydia Velazquez and other congress members who praised the recently passed bipartisan infrastructure bill. Conveniently for the location, the bill includes $1.9 billion to replace bridges nationwide, as well as over $11 billion for highways. (Politics NY)
- The city is beginning $109 million worth of renovations in Brooklyn parks at over 20 different locations. Parks advocates are calling for more funding, given that during his campaign Adams pledged to dedicate 1% of the city's total budget to parks. (Brooklyn Paper)
- The first-ever Brooklyn half and full marathon will pass through Brooklyn Heights and DUMBO on April 24. The fee to participate is between $160 and $205. (Brooklyn Bridge Parents)
