- Brooklyn Heights and DUMBO might be getting a new State Senator–IDC member Diane Savino, who currently represents Coney Island and surrounding southern Brooklyn areas. The new district lines might be drawn with the intention of leading a more progressive politician to represent the district. - Despite receiving a multi-million-dollar renovation last summer, the NYC ferry station in DUMBO has had to close five times due to "mechanical issues."
