- Brooklyn Heights residents are up in arms about a new "rogue" smoke shop, that they say is in violation of the neighborhood's historic landmarks designation due to its bright green neon sign. They are also concerned that the shop, located close to multiple schools including P.S.8, could be attempting to appeal to school-aged children. (Brooklyn Daily Eagle)
- District 33's Jewish community is reeling from multiple anti-Semitic attacks over the past week, with renewed calls for a solution to hate crimes throughout the city. Recently on Wednesday police reported a Swastika drawn outside of a Williamsburg supermarket. (Brooklyn Paper)
