Teen Arrested For Shooting On Busy Brooklyn Shopping Street: NYPD

The broad-daylight shooting injured three people.

DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN, NY — Police cuffed a 19-year-old on Tuesday who they say shot three people in Downtown Brooklyn last week. Equan Ware of Brownsville was charged with three counts of felony assault after he allegedly opened fire on the Fulton Mall Friday afternoon, the NYPD said.

Police say the broad-daylight shooting, which occurred just before 2 p.m. Friday along the busy shopping corridor, grew out of a dispute at the corner of Gallatin Place and Fulton Street.

The shots Ware allegedly fired wounded three people, including a 28-year-old man involved in the argument who was struck in the hand, police have said.
