HICKSVILLE, NY — The 2025-2026 Hicksville School District budget passed on Tuesday by a nearly 2-1 margin.

The measure passed with 1,451 yes votes. There were 771 votes against the $180,811,000 budget.

This year's budget is a 4.38 percent increase from the previous year. It includes a pierce of the cap for $1.7 million.

Annette Beiner ran unopposed for her Board of Education trustees seat.

Incumbent Linda Imbriale defeated Faisal Mirza, 1,233-681.


For the Library board, Margaret Breiman defeated Sunsan Sarandis, 947-750.
