Hicksville Appoints 2 New Elementary School Principals

HICKSVILLE, NY — Two elementary school principals have been appointed by Hicksville Public Schools Board of Education.

Bryan Offermann was named to oversee Burns Avenue Elementary School, effective July 1. He replaces interim principal Chris Scardino.

Offermann previously served as assistant director for special education and pupil personnel services. Prior to that, Offerman spent seven years as a special education classroom teacher in the Roslyn School District.

"As both an educator and a proud father of two, I understand the importance of creating a school environment where every child feels seen, supported and inspired to grow.," Offermann said.

Dr. Nicholas Giarrusso was appointed as the new principal of Fork Lane Elementary School. Current principal Susan Guilano is retiring.

He joins Hicksville from the Greenburgh Central School District in Hartsdale, New York, where he has served as the director of special education and pupil personnel services since 2022. He also served as a school district in Greenburgh.
