Hicksville Library Hosts Teddy Bear Picnic As Girl Scouts Introduction

HICKSVILLE, NY — The Girl Scouts of Nassau County is hosting a Teddy Bear Picnic. The May 21 event is open to all pre-kindergarten, kindergarten and first graders.

It takes place at the Hicksville Public Library.

While the children are participating in the picnic, parents are invited to sit in on an informational session about local Girl Scout troops.

Girls should be their own teddy bear to the picnic. They will experience an hour (6-7 p.m.) of "troop life," the Girl Scouts said on its website. During the picnic, the children will also get to make a project and meet new friends.
